Jarhead
Just saw this on Music 123. Anybody got any idea about what it sounds like? 2000 watts sounds a bit overkill to me. Zach [attachment=14334:John_Moy...nature_1.jpg]
alexclaber
It's rated at 2000W because it contains eight 10" woofers each rated at 250W. That doesn't actually mean anything terribly useful. What do you mean by overkill? Alex
Jarhead
Oh yeah, I'm not to good with the whole speaker ratings, ohms etc. kinda thing. Just confuses me. What I meant by overkill is that its just to much power really. Even the head that its listed to be paired with is 1200 watts. I do like the speaker grill mesh design though. I think i'm going to make a large cab in year 11, and if I do, its going to have that sort of thing over the sides. Zach

It can handle a lot of power without thermal power compression and then damage but you can use as much or little power as you want. Most bass players would find a 300W head more than sufficient with a cab this large. Alex
steve-soar
How much are they going for? 150 lbs, a shade lighter than an Ampeg and if it's a lot cheaper then it could be a good buy for the kind of bassist who doesn't mind lugging 11 stone of cab around. Kustom always price their gear competitively but I think JHS would have to import it so it could get costly.
