I'm over 6 foot myself, not as bad as people would think are they?! Ta dood it's not bad is it, still got the original Rover tape player, just turned onto 28k miles on the way to the gig. most of them have disolved now, we are planning on keeping this one forever, it's our 6th since 1998, ace cars!

I think it's because of the way that you sit in a mini, kinda like a go cart with your knees up rather than out-stretched. It's not bad at all! Looking great :) - my first was a T Reg that I had Slot Mag alloys and a 10" steering wheel. So much fun! The second was a little black beast that I sold when I got a company car back when I was in my early twenties. If only I knew then what I know now eh!

28K? That's amazing! My T Reg dissolved. I was changing the brakes one day when I discovered I could push a screwdriver through the rear subframe *gulp*. Needless to say the car didn't go back on the road!

Yup, always the rear subframe, the engines always pissed out enough oil to lubricate the front subframe and stop it from rotting !

I had a Mini Van in the late '70s, ex GPO. Great fun and surprising how much gear you could get in one.

When you think how many minis were scrapped due to rear frames it is crazy, you can have a drive in exchage done these days, they build them up before you arrive with brakes and cones etc, turn up and go for breakfast, they take off the exhaust, whip off the frame, clean and underseal, repair patches if needed then put the new one on, bleed the brakes, adjust the handbrake, refit the exhaust and away you go better than new with poly bushes and a good dose of protective paint etc.
