Preamp to use with a KK Bass Max

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good preamp to use with a Bass Max piezo bridge pickup?
As well as balancing the sound from my bass, I'd like to be able to adjust the volume & tone from the bass itself. I've looked at the KK Pure Preamp.

I'm getting on ok with a Fishman Platinum - not the Pro one, the cheaper 'stage' model. The Bassmax seems to need a bit of a treble boost and some careful work on the middle; different venues seem to need slightly different eq too.

I used a Fishman platinum pro for a couple of years with a Bassmax - always worked fine for me.
They're discontinued now but they occasionally turn up in the for sale forums.

Whatever you go for, try to find one with a high pass filter (HPF). The Bassmax is a hot pickup and the low end can easily overpower your amp and make your bass sound very boomy and indistinct, so it helps to be able to take out the frequencies below 80hz which will tighten up the low end and help reduce the chances of feedback.
