Hi Folks apologies for the constant questions but as some of you are aware i'm new to the world of Double Bass although I played Electric Bass for many years.
I had a Shadow pick up fitted to a Acoustic Guitar kicking around somewhere would this be suitable to use with the Upright just wondering because if I can find it might save me a few quid buying a new one.Not sure of the actual model as it came fitted to the Guitar which as since been sold but i'm sure i kept the p/u thanks in advance cheers Bob

If its a stick on one cgances are it wont be much use.as a rule piezo p/ups work best on dbs when they are under pressure being slightly squashed, either in the wing slot of the bridge or under the foot.
Shadow make a dedicated double bass pickup.

I think the J-Tone pup on ebay gets some favorable reviews. It's pretty cheap and if it sounds good too, bonus :)

Yes to the J-Tone, cheap and every bit as good as the KnK Bassmax. (Better made IMO)
