NJE
That is lovely and despite not being a P fan I desperately want it as it was made 2 days after I was born, that's about as close to a birth bass as I will ever see.
Paul S
I just noticed - I have the exact twin of this - exactly the same date in the neck! My regular gigging bass.

itsmedunc
I don't think most folk know how good these really are. I have one but in Oly white and it's tremendous. I can't think of a better P bass than a JV...
mojobass
Fantastic bass, looks even better in the flesh! If I had the cash... GLWS
itsmedunc
Thanks Dunc, Yeah It is a cracker of a bass as you say. I've seen higher price JV's in worse condition so I'm surprised this is still here. I'm not desperate to sell but my 78 P bass seems to be the one I pick up the most hence the reason for advertising my JV. I would consider a trade for an Ampeg B15 if anyone is interested?
I thought the opposite. I had a 79/81 hybrid P and the JV was the backup. When I honestly compared them, there was no competition. The USA went and now I use the JV as main and have an SQ series P as a backup, which is also a fabulous bass. Still got great basses but also give me a few quid to play with... jflesh
My main bass is one of those in sunburst finish, fantastic fat pbass tone. The perfect P.
PawelG
The price seems fair. I think you just need to wait for the right buyer.

cd_david
Can't believe this hasn't sold. It's a minter and a bargain. If I was after a P I'd be all over this. GLWTS
