At 16 I was a huge Yes fan (55 now) and remained so until I saw them in Glasgow a few years ago with Benoit David. Lost interest completely after that gig to the point where I haven't even heard the most recent album.

Probably ELO (more to their older material) but I was on the cusp of getting into the heavier and more progressive bands around that time too. Even then I tended to listen more retrospectively to the older bands than those that were 'relavent' at the time. However NWOBHM happened around then so rock suddenly came to the fore again.
