Bass is the place Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) SOLD 1984 G&L L2000 USA in Olympic White, Maple neck and Fingerboard. A good example of one of Leo Fenders finest instruments; this bass has had a recent pro set up including a fret-dress and fresh set of GHS Flea Strings. It plays and sounds fantastic. Often referred to the Swiss Army Knife of basses, the range of tones available are staggering. You can get an idea of these tones and how the controls work in the YouTube clip below. There is plenty of natural wear to the body especially around pickup/ thumb rest area where the finish has been worn through to the wood, in one spot to an indentation. Other dings, chips scratches – most can be seen in the photos. The neck is pretty smooth and is largely unscathed from such wear and tear however, there is a small ding/chip to the head stock see photo. The chunky hardware (bridge/tuners), pickups and electronics are in excellent condition and ALL original. At 10.5lbs this isn't a light weight bass but quite typical for an L2000. Comes with the original case, some scuffs but in good working order. Collection from Macclesfield in East Cheshire preferred. Will box up and post anywhere at buyers expense. No trades please unless you have a Yamaha BB 1200 BB2000 or BB3000s you want to part with.
