Zoot Basses

Can anyone tell me anything about these are the UK made ? Quality is it the same stasndard as Shuker type builds ? Thanks .

I used to have a Zoot Chaser 4. It is the bass I should never have sold.... Persuaded by the guitarist it didn't fit the band's image etc etc. Made in the UK to the best of my knowledge. If you have the chance to get one, give it serious thought.

They certainly are UK made and are right up there with Shuker, ACG, Goodfellow etc. in quality.
Mike got distracted for a while building Amps and Cabs, (Purple Chilli), but is now firmly back just building basses and won't be building any more cabs.
I think there are a couple of recent builds reviewed on here.

I had a Zoot which had been owned by a number of other BCers - nice bass, well balanced and nice tones. The profile of the necks are unusual - quite flat - and take a bit of getting used to but the BQ is excellent.
