This looks like a cool cab for the money (about 380 quid) http://www.handbox.p...-x-10-p115.html I remember playing through a friends Epifani 3x10 years ago and it sounded really punchy... He had a poweramp/preamp set up though so probably went down to 2ohms though I couldnt swear on it... Would a regular 4ohm min amp head run into trouble driving this load?

The Epifani one is 5.3 ohms. A 4 ohm minimum head would not be very happy being driven down to 2.7ohms. The magic smoke might well come out of the amp. Someone who is cleverer than me will be along soon who will be able to guess the impedance of the individual speakers and give other impedance options by re-wiring it.

Odd they have gone 2.7 instead of 5.3 and a shame it is the usual design of, 'cram as many drivers into the smallest surface baffle of a 19" wide cab'! I for one would have preferred to lose a few inches off width and had vertical alignment with maybe a bit more depth. ...but that's just me! :(

A 2.7 ohm cab seriously limits your choice of amplifier you can use it with since not many amps are 2 ohms stable. Unless you have or are gonna buy a 2 ohm stable amp, steer clear. IMO.

Three drivers in a 2.7 ohm cab suggests they are all 8 ohm drivers wired in parallel.
Not much scope for useful rewiring - unless you want a 12 or 24 ohm cab ;)

A 5.3 ohm cab would likely use three 16 ohm drivers in parallel.

I see there are Handbox amp owners on here, anyone with the cabs?

Only one or two amp owners, and AFAIK no cab owners...

Sounds good to me! :D

Also tiny 2x12 for £333. I see there are Handbox amp owners on here, anyone with the cabs?

The 2x12" does look like good value for money. Given that the drivers are 250 watt ceramic Eminence units, they're likely to be comparable to the TKS S212. They do a pair of 1x12" cabs for the equivalent of £500 too.
