Hi all

Setting up a jazz bass at the moment. I've put 45 -105 Fat beams on, but they seem a little too flappy for this bass

Does anyone know of strings that are slightly higher tension than Fat beams ? I'm hoping that a little more tension will allow a slightly lower action

I called Strings Direct today and they recommended either Ernie Balls, Dunlop marcus millers or rotosound. They did say they didn't have much experience around this enquiry and suggested asking around forums may give more information

So here we are...

Any ideas folks ?

Thanks in advance all :)

Thanks Discreet and Lozz, I was thinking about the low riders, I may well give them a go. I was offered a set today but missed them while at work - can't have it all I suppose

The Jim Dunlops seem to be getting some good press lately, they may be worth a shot too. Anyone tried them ?

Cheers all :)

The Dunlop Superbrights, including the MM sig set, are anything but high tension so best avoided if you want more tension.
