Aero71 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) For sale/trade: Bogart Blackstone, made in Germany, Great bass, but I've recently became the owner of another lovely active jazz bass, and one is enough for me at the moment. Bartolini pickups, Noll preamp, graphite semi-headless neck, Schaller straplocks. Beautiful silver finish. Weight is 4.2 kg Fretboard is showing some wear and the body is missing some lacquer at some places (see pictures). Nevertheless it plays great and sounds awesome. Comes with a worn old scruffy but functional hardcase. [s]£725[/s] TRADED UK/EU shipping included. I prefer a straight sale, but trade with another bass could be interesting also. margusalviste Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Grab this bass! These basses are awesome! I have one too and I love it! Mine has the old 9W4J pickups that are far superior than the new ones.
denis_d Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Totally agreed, these are great basses and great value for the money! I also own a Bogart, an old one, made in '91 I guess. Bought it here on BC, and it's been my main bass since then. Fits perfectly in any style from metal to jazz and always receives compliments from soundmen GLWTS!
Aero71 Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016
Does this have a truss rod? o.O
Nope, like most graphite necks; no trussrod.

Aero71 Posted September 2, 2016 Author Posted September 2, 2016 Yeah, some graphite neck do have truss rods. This one doesn't, it's perfect. thx
LukeGTE Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Crikey, that's so cool. So it has 2 sets of tuners?
Aero71 Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016
Crikey, that's so cool. So it has 2 sets of tuners?
No, the keys on the headstock are for clamming the strings. The real tuners are on the bridge, like the headless basses.
margusalviste Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 My Bogart has actually very wooden tone. Very close to my former 62 Jazz bass, while cutting more through.
Aero71 Posted September 9, 2016 Author Posted September 9, 2016 Indeed, the sound of Bogarts is fenomenal
HazBeen Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Great basses, if I didn't already have 3 others I'd have this in a heart beat.
HazBeen Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) Come on people buy this please, it is staring at me with cute eyes and I really do not need another 4 string Bogart. Edited October 18, 2016 by HazBeen

spuggy9 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 What kind of trades would be of interest to you ?
Would love to trade with a stingray or sterling, or perhaps a tube amp. But can also be pursuaded for something else. PM me what you have, please.
GreeneKing Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 That is lovely. Interest in Bogart basses (5 string unfortunately) most definitely registered. Peter
