Now Sold

Wal Mk1 Fretless, December 1986 W2834. Mahogany core African Wenge facings.

Excellent condition a few dings on the mahogany core and top of headstock, I've highlighted these in the photos. Neck is pristine, no cracks in varnish around the tuners.

Carl signed this one off.

I'm the second owner, bought it from a friend, acquiring it around 1987, it has had minimal use if I'm honest.

I might be tempted by a Mk2/Mk3 fretless 5 string if there's anyone out there with one they might want to trade.

I have a Hiscox (Wal unbranded) case available which it can be shipped in if required included in the price.

This is my first listing/posting on BC, but I'm a confirmed Wal person owning 2 others a Mk1 fretted 4 string (Same finish as the fretless) and a Mk 2
5 string.

Nice bass. How much does it weigh and where are you based?

Weight is around 4.5kg, based in North London

Interesting that it has a rosewood fingerboard. Unusual on a fretless Wal (there's also not many wedge faced fretless Wals). Lovely bass anyway, GLWTS.

It's an ebony fingerboard, I'll edit the posting.

It does specify rosewood on the masking tape though. I guess it's one of the traditional Wal, "terminological inexactitudes".

Due to server malfunctions the advert for my Wal keeps vanishing, I'm hoping with moderator Chris' help I can get it up and running again.
