GarethFlatlands
I have a mildly silly collection of guitars considering how much I actually play these days and am looking to offload a couple of guitars. I don't know of any guitar based site as good as BC and my attempts on Facebook and Gumtree haven't got any results. Where do you sell your axes, or keep an eye on for new ones? On the off chance anyone's interested, I'm looking to sell a Gordon Smith Gypsy 2 SS and a '98 CIJ Fender Jazzmaster, both of which can be seen on the guitar porn thread. RhysP
Ebay, Gumtree, Facebook selling groups & on here, but for the best part of this year I've had zero success in selling anything.
GarethFlatlands
Thanks, good to know it's not just a matter of where you post it for other people too. A small local shop offered to sell them for me with no charge on the basis that having them in the window would get people through the door but it kind of felt like that was taking advantage. I'm considering letting them do it but insisting they take a % of the sale.
Cat Burrito
Recently Facebook has been particularly good as it's often local pickup with no fees. EBay always gets a sale but the cut is massive. I have bought and sold on Gumtree too. And then of course there is here. Thankfully I sold off the last of my mildly silly ones last month so I am back down again to an acceptable working number of instruments for the amount I play. progben
Usually Ebay or the FB buy/sell groups, although it's all about bass these days. I have a beautiful Baja Tele for sale in the classifieds if anyone's interested!

Musicman20
Fretboard, Facebook groups, and strangely Gumtree! If you are in or near a city Gumtree is worth a shot. I've stopped paying to sell things.

Schnozzalee
I've sold everything via Gumtree - The Geordies and Scots are great at buying my stuff and they always bring decent chat with them .
Winny Pooh
Stuff will sell on Gumtree if the prices are decent. Location is a factor too. I sell on Gumtree and ebay with the ebay price being 12% higher to cover fees. Gumtree has more one-text-&-gone types but you don't have to deal with the ebay buyers who change their mind following a sale nor shipping.
