alyctes
I don't know if this has been mutilated or if it was built like that. Either way, it's fairly strange to the eye. But I do rather like it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Origineller-Aria-Pro-II-Bass-Japan-/222238560675?hash=item33be7351a3:g:UfEAAOSwFV9XypDP
Grangur
Jon will be along later I'm sure and he'll confirm of course, but this looks like the same body as the Westone headless. I had one it was ok. The tone was quite aggressive. As they would both have come from the Matsumoko factory, sharing a body shape between Westone and Aria would be very possible. Bassassin
Similar, but not the same as the Westone. This appears to be a variant on a thing called an Aria WL Wedge - there's a high-spec headless version in this 1985 catalogue, and a somewhat lower-end (possibly Korean-made, although I'm less sure now!) version, also headless, being discussed right here. Never seen a non-decapitated example before but I'm inclined to think there must have been a range of these oddities that never made it to the UK.
