Stainless steel is a [b]metal alloy[/b], made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, [b]nickel[/b], molybdenum, silicon, [b]aluminum[/b], and [b]carbon[/b]. [b]Iron[/b] mixed with [b]carbon[/b] to produce steel , is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.
