Managing your data on Basschat

Hi folks,

sorry if I am being dumb - I am selling a couple of basses and added them in the appropriate forum - but it seems I cannot post pictures as I've nearly exhausted my quota.

How can I free up some of my quota?

Looks like you can delete attachments through this page:

Host them somewhere else like imgur.com then paste them in! If you wrap the link in IMG tags, or just use the image button on the compose message toolbar, they will show up directly in the post like this:

I guess this will be to reduce the server space taken up by images which are many many times larger than the database or site content.

Using an external image host is a much better idea since you not only free up resources on the Basschat server, but also AFAICS using the Basschat image upload places a maximum size on the photos which means that most of the time they come out tiny, not at all what you want when you are trying the show off an item you have for sale.
