new to bass

Hello all

I started playing about a year and half ago on and off, motivtion has been my hardest problem as i have other interests,
but anyway, i have found a tutor who will give me some lessons,

I have been playing with "love me tender" and i am sort of getting it now , but also been messing with AC-DC live wire, and i noticed that on youtube the bass covers that people are playing, there are so many different variations of it ? Is this a problem in which variation you play this song ?

As long as it fits with what the rest of the band are playing it's fine. Often there is no one single "correct" version for the songs of these new beat combos :-)
