Like all sticks, it has a tendency to spin but you soon get used to it, in my case via the rather elegant sartorius muscle Clarkson was recently given the once over by the good M. Philippe Briande in Canterbury who, much as the PR agencies have with his namesake, removed some of the rougher edges. For £250 this is a lot of EUB, the hardware alone cost close to that from Thomann. I'm having something of a clear-out at Beedster Studios has suddenly become extremely cluttered. Collection only, although we could have some fun and find a courier brave enough Chris Edited September 28, 2016 by Beedster
Beedster Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 ....and I will post some close ups of some of his uglier aspects when I get to the studio

Beedster Posted September 29, 2016 Author Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) OK, here's the promised bad stuff! There are a few screws holding front to back together at the endpin. These face the back of the bass and could easily be painted over if it worried you. This bass has had some SERIOUS abuse and there has never been any movement at the endpin This is what the endpin goes into, and it doesn't allow much adjustment. I have cut my endpin to length so that the top end sits against the interior of the cavity. This means I can't adjust the length of the endpin, but that it's always set (and set solidly) for my playing height. I will provide a spare endpin so that the buyer can likewise set the height for themselves. Several questions about PUPs. I will throw in either a Kent Armstrong mag PUP (mounts at end of fingerboard) that works but needs some tidying up, or a wing PUP. On this bass I'd recommend the former to be honest Edited September 29, 2016 by Beedster
Beedster Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 Folks, I've had a lot of enquires about posting this but having just checked the amount of bubble wrap and card packaging required (whilst a stick bass, it's actually quite deep in that the horizontal distance from the back of the scroll to the bottom of the fingerboard is over 30cms) and assessed the likelihood that I would need to take it apart before posting to ensure that the bridge, end-piece and tuners survive, plus £50 odd to post it, I think it's simply a no-goer, sorry. Chris
Mr Bassman Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Chris is you can get it to the bash on Sunday I could deliver or have collected around Yorkshire
Beedster Posted October 1, 2016 Author Posted October 1, 2016 Hi Keith, that's really good of you mate but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it to the event. Hope you all have a great day, I'm jealous of you with all those DBs in one place! Cheers Chris
