SS Amp repair in NORTH EAST? Sorted

Who is excellent at repairing SS amps in North East?... Urgent.

Not Cameron Electronic. After taking a look inside he didn't want to take it apart.

Possible gig next Thursday could do with it back sharpish.

What amp is it? There is a guy on old George yard who used to work for Marshall, I think he might be more at home with more traditional amps, there is also a guy called Wilf in Whitley bay who's very good, if you are on Facebook then he's one of the admin guys on the north east musicians mart.

It's a Trace Elliot AH600-12 and it's started to make a strange rumbling sound, like distant thunder/wind.

I've spoken to Stoneham and explained the situation. They are quite happy to take a look so it's getting dropped off tomorrow.

Stoneham are pretty good with trace elliot, that's what I'd consider an old school solid state amp, he serviced my trace gp11 a while ago. I'd expect that he'll be able to sort it.

Sorted by Stoneham.

Pulled the valves,noise disappeared. Put valves back noise gone. Thrashed the amp at practice still good. I was told to keep an eye on it.

No charge, but slipped him a few quid.

Very happy and will definitely use again.

The Trace Elliot sounds awesome again.
