My bulbs blown on my Ashdown ABM C115-500 evo combo (one of the early British made ones)

Has anyone replaced it with an LED ? I fancy putting a blue one in but I'm not sure what would be compatible.

I read something about having to use a resistor with an LED?

Quick and dirty calculation:

You need to know the voltage that the original bulb worked at (call it 'V') and the current through the LED required to give a good strong output (call it 'I').

The resistance R that you need for the series resistor is found by R=V/I. That will get you in the ballpark.
