I was there! Matt Bissonette (Elton's bassist) Wow! What a player with great tone. He got a fantastic sound (as did all the band) which sadly isn't always the case with the big outdoor events. Quo,Madness and Leann Rimes also superb.

I heard one of the songs (your song?) on the radio and it sounded as though it had been transposed down incredibly low - don't know if it was to accommodate his more mature vocal range (happens to us all) or whether it was for the orchestra's benefit, either way it didn't quite sit right.

There was no orchestra with him, just his own incredible band he has had for years.

I heard a clip of this on Evans' brekkie show and thought Eltie's voice sounded well weird too. Maybe its just that one he struggles with but I agree it sounded de-tuned to death.
