Loop pedal advice

Morning all,

Been toying with the idea of getting a loop pedal for my bass to mess around with solo stuff. Ideally I'd like one that you can plug a mic into as well for vocals.

I've never looked at them and no idea if there are bass specific ones or not so just wondered what people's experiences of them are? Cheers, J.

I got one of these recently - http://nuxefx.com/pr...etail.php?id=89

Great little unit, robust and with 6 hours record time. I think its a clone of the Boss RC3. Only cost £70 new. Plenty of info and sales on the net.

Not sure about a mic but I cant see why one can't be used though...

The best and easiest one to use is the TC ditto. I used to use 2 together. They're great little things. Others like the ones by Boss I found to be awkward to use live.

There's lots of resources here - http://www.loopersdelight.com/tools/tools.html

Microphones are fairly low level signal, whereas the instrument input on a guitar pedal is expecting to hear a higher 'instrument' signal level. It may be ok with an adapter, but really, if you want to use a Mic into a looper, the best option is probably the Boss RC-30 for my money.

There's also the Digitech Jamman Stereo.
