Evah Pirazzi Slaps.

I just stuck a set of these on my bass to try out. I actually don't like slapping, but the reviews sounded pretty good. I got the full wound, synthetic set because I tend to destroy guts. I've only had them on three days and they've settled into tune already. Hmmm, that's a good start. I'm impressed... they sound like guts but with better focus and attack. Got a jazz gig on Friday, so the proof will be in the playing. Oh yeah, forgot to say they're soft, easy playing and very even volume and tone across all four strings.

Would love to try these but they cost not that much short of what I paid for my DB

I bought mine from Gollihur's in the US. They were cheaper than a lot of other strings.

Which set did you get?

I'm hoping to change over to these when necessary. Let me know how you get on with them. I've used Gamuts and Evah Pirazzis, Olivs, Spiros and currently use Velvet Garbo so I'm interested how these stack up.

I got the full wound set. I'm digging them. My jazz gig with them was great. I just replaced my old Garbos, and these are not quite as loud, but are more gut sounding, and about the same tension as the Garbos.
