grumpyguts
After much deliberation I ordered a Marcus Miller V7 Vintage Alder-5 AWH. Thomann had stock when I placed the order. Oh dear, I get an email telling me it wont be available till Jan 17. So what to do? The Swamp Ash one is apparently available but is about £60 more. What would you do, wait or spend the extra? markstuk
I'd spend the extra.. But then I would have bought the swamp ash one anyway :-) Edited September 18, 2016 by markstuk
KiOgon
I'd say change your mind & get something completely different - 'cos it seems that you're not totally commited & in love with what you ordered in the first place - or you wouldn't be asking us lot It'll end in tears
Geek99
Working for a major retailer as I do, permitting over orders at sale time is not unusual - abandoned baskets lock out stock that could otherwise be sold and sometimes retailers get caught out when those baskets do actually finish or an earlier order's allocated stock proves to be substandard or damaged and thus unshippable Edited September 18, 2016 by Geek99

Mike
Do you think there's a notable difference between both models? Would it be tone?
Lozz196
If I were buying a sig instrument I`d go for the most authentic version, so whichever body material Marcus` actual bass is made of would be my choice.
Dan Dare
Swamp ash will be a little lighter (and we all know wood makes no difference to the sound of a solid electric instrument, don't we? ). If you can afford the extra £60, I'd go for it. Edited September 18, 2016 by Dan Dare
Woodinblack
Well, they say more are available in 4 days time!
grumpyguts
That is a lovely thing (except for pu guard) but.. Somewhat more expensive.
