bad back
Hi guys I'm going from the Orange ob500 to gk mb800 fusion ( hopefully ) I have the obc 410 at the moment but I'll want the lightweight gk 4x10 to go with the head . I like the neo but I'm not sure about them mbe 1 and mbe 2 . Please could anyone advise on the pros and cons of the cabs or what to avoid ??? Huge thanks in advance :-)
Lozz196
I`ve been looking a lot at GK cabs recently, as just bought a GK 1001 RB-II head - and was quite impressed with the bi-amping through the GK cabs. Talkbass has a lot of info on these, with most opting for the Neo range over the MBEs, and then most of those preferring the 212 to the 410. Seems the 410 is beefier on the lows but also the high-mids are pretty prominent, whereas the 212 is more even across the tonal pallet. Plus the 212 is some 15lbs lighter than the 410 as well. bad back
Cheers mate . I'm leaning to the neo 410 , probably going to need to buy a new one tho as I haven't seen second hand one :-)
Lozz196
That`s a pretty good recommendation in itself, not many GK Neo cabs seem to come up for sale on here.
bad back
Seen a neo online for a reasonable price so I may have a look at the end of the month :-)
casapete
Been using a GK 410 Neo for a long time now with my GK 1001RB head. Great cab, never missed a beat. FWIW I did try the 212 and definitely preferred the 410. I do like a nice round bottom though..... Haven't tried the MBE series, would like to compare as believe they use the same components as the Neo.
bad back
Hi Pete I just pulled the trigger on a bramd new neo 410 which may be with me to tomorrow. Sorry if this sounds silly but do i need to run the speakers in all ? I've never owned a neo cab before so not really sure. Thanks Jamie
