Raggy
Black Pearl? Black pearl looks classy
Bigwan
I saw Sheryl Crow playing 'favourite mistake' on a black/dark rosewood/black pearl P bass on VH1 years ago and thought it was well classy looking, but the rosewood board needs to be ebony coloured or it looks a bit odd against the brown of the rosewood. I'd go tort for rosewood and black pearl for maple...
Shaggy
Spooky, I just thought that and had saved the very same pic of Phil LYnott from google images to post on here Are you me by any chance?
Jeez, I don't think so..........are you crap at dancing and do you collect obscure tankards? Also you do seem to have some of my basses, including a Rick - Thinking of putting a mirror guard on that in fact (Jetglo with knackered white p/g) But where are my others, eh? KevB
And here's another black on black (mine actually) which shows the effect of having the white strip in the guard. Not a real Fender but close enough... Edited October 8, 2008 by KevB
chrisba
Thanks all. I reckon BWB is the way to go. The Abalone is rather lovely but not really Indie Rock covers ( wot I do ), more Mike Flowers Pops.

Ajoten
Apologies for straying off the black topic, but what brand are these? If it was missing the J pickup the sunburst P5 would be EXACTLY what I want (lookwise anyway).

Bassassin
Holy Necrothread, Batman! Finally found a P I want to keep - battered, obscure 70s Japanese replica, black, black, maple, DiMarzios. Ruck as fock, it is:
