nash Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Actually got this on Thursday from Gareth on here. What a bass it is! I've never really been bothered by weight until I picked this up. I weighed it today 7lb 14oz! So light. I love the eclectic look of this and the modern functionality. Quote
dannybuoy Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Looks a bit big for you though, can you reach the 1st fret? Quote
karlfer Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Lucky boy, I've been trying to find one for months. Enjoy Quote
nash Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 Using 4 fingers to make a two fret stretch haha Quote
therealting Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Did they actually make one with the 54 body style and the split pickup? Quote
Pretty much. It's essentially a USA std with '51 pickguard, control plate and side output. And a trans blonde finish. Also has a glossed fretboard but a less glossed neck and it's nitro. I absolutely love it more than any bass I've ever owned. Quote
therealting Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 I should clarify - what I meant was, was there one like this 60 years ago? Quote
project_c Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Yeah these are awesome, congratulations. Quote
Funky Dunky Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Congratulations! I'm sick with jealousy. That is wooden sex with strings on and I want one. Lovely bass, enjoy it! Quote
From reading the reviews, it's very much a modern P bass with some nods to the past (most notably the scratchplate). A very creditable object of lust, though. Quote
