BUGERA Ultrabass BXD15 1000W Bass Combo

Just been surfing the net to try and find a lightweight alternative to my
ampeg 4x10 stv cab and head,
Has anyone tried these Bugera combos , they claim its 1000w into 1 x 15 speaker
are they realy that powerful?

bugera (Behringer) are well known for claiming peak power at way more than 1% THD .

I suspect about 250W RMS ...

True kinda. When there amps have been tested (talkbass) they normally are 50% to 75% there actual stated power by normal testing means.
I think there class d veyron amps like these ones in the combo asked about were in between that percentage. I know people didn't think they lacked power.

There Berhinger's high end range and pretty good for the money. I've said a few times of late I actually chose a bvp 5500 over the ampeg svt 3 pro because I genuinely thought/think it's a better amp.
