Alex6534
Hi guys, I'm looking at purchasing my first decent 5 string bass for recording my own project (hard rock/metal) and other bands which will vary but will primarily be in the indie/rock/metal genre. I'm considering either a lakland 55 02/69, dingwall at the moment but open to suggestions. Budget is £500-1000 max.
chris_b
I'm a long time Lakland player so I'd say the 55-02 would be a great starting point. I'm guessing you'll be using pedals? How you use those will have a big effect on your sound. Also, IME the best sounding bass recordings are made with a good DI and good ears operating the desk. Alex6534
I'd take a DI and reamp through my kemper. Keeping an eye out for a good price on a 55-
