Baxter
Fender Coronado for sure. I was considering getting a lookalike made when they announced the reissues. I got one of them. Edited October 10, 2016 by Baxter
leschirons
First bass I really had GAS for was a Hohner Jack. Eventually got one, kept it for a couple of years.
dmccombe7
First serious GAS was for a Shergold twin neck. 4 & 8 string. The first Shergold 8 stringer i believe and here's the pic circa 78 or thereabouts [attachment=229672:old photos_0004_NEW (2).jpg]
Lozz196
I`ve no idea what it was, as I was saving up for ever to buy it - £45 in 1980 was a fair bit of wedge. It was white, with a black sratchplate and if I recall correctly a rosewood fretboard, so very Sid Vicious/Paul Simenon, which was a plus. I used to go to our local music shop, Mr Music every Saturday morning and look at it and think "it will be mine soon". And then some other person-of-unheard-of-obsceneties bought it! So I ended up with my first bass which was a Kay copy of a Gibson EB-0, not that I knew that at the time. Action at least half an inch, pickup buzzed if any treble at all was put on the amp settings but it was the instrument I learned on. No idea what I did with it, I wasn`t sentimental about things in my younger years. I still remember that bass I never got though.
