la bam Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Hi all, Im just putting my pedal board together for our dance/house band and wondered if anyone uses A/B boxes for switching between basses, and if so could they recommend one? Just needs to be silent in operation and easy to 'stomp' between the 2 basses on the pedal. Quote
franzbassist Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Lots of options out there, but I keep coming back to the Radial Bigshot i/o: uncolored, no power needed, adjustable gain on one channel to match outputs. If you decided you want independent EQ as well I would recommend the Providence Dual Bass Station. Quote
Kirky Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 If you're happy using a soldering iron, Musikding have a good cheap option. http://www.musikding.de/A/B-Switch Quote
Byo Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 http://www.brightonion.co.uk do great quality and cheap stuff. I have a few of their switchers and do the job perfectly. Quote
keeponehandloose Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Korg pitchblack plus. AB switcher and tuner in one. Quote
TrevorR Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Lehle. A bit more pricy but bomb proof. Quote
casapete Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 For a cheap solution the Fender ABY is pretty good. No bells and whistles but does the job just fine for me. https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/0234506000/footswitches/fender-2-switch-aby-switcher-pedal-in-red?LGWCODE=0234506000;56375;6335&gclid=COfRu9eo0c8CFWYo0wodgmoPdg Quote
dannybuoy Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 If you want a decent simple passive A/B box in a tiny pedal, I have one for sale here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/290887-lucid-audio-fuzz-o-potamus-original-q-tron-wee-lush-ab-boxx-napalm-snowball-feedback-loop-tap-tempo-switch Quote
Guest Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) Thundertomate handmade, it'a a Spanish boutique maker, I asked for a custom version (originally it was for guitar so I asked for 2 switches for active/passive bass). I don't remember the price, but it was good for the quality. Even if in the website you can read "Please, note that I'm NOT currently selling pedals.", you can ask I know sometimes he accepts some orders. Jack Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Subbed for info. I'm trying to work out if I need to spend more than Thomann's £25 Lead Foot. I want all the jacks on the top.... Quote
