The bass is loosely based on the Overwater Progress model, but the body is a little more sculpted. The neck is of 3-piece maple and sycamore construction with an Ebony fingerboard (no markings) and and runs through the body, which is is faced in Ash with a Walnut rear. As you might expect from the wood combinations, the sound is very natural - warm and punchy, but has very great definition. It sings just like a fretless should! The front of the headstock is faced in Ebony to match the fingerboard. It's a very handsome instrument, which is further enhanced by the beautiful flame of the Ash body face wood. The bottom B string has a very strong sound, helped by the 35" scale The tuners are black to compliment the Ebony headstock, as is the bridge. The bass features a very simple preamp that offers +/- 15db bass and treble. The controls are volume, pan, bass, treble. It’s in pristine condition and has never left my home/studio.
