Cato Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) Exactly the wrong time in the payday cycle for me otherwise I'd be bidding. Always wanted to try one of these (well the original urge, anyway)since I saw a review in a mag in the early 90s. Anyone want to speculate on what it might go for? Edit: After a swift bit of online research it looks like anything under a grand would be a bargain. Edited October 11, 2016 by Cato Quote
Sweeneythebass Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 I had no idea about these basses until some research today but looks like it's quite a high spec. a bargain for someone I think... Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 They've managed to put the silver detuner on almost a wonky as Fender have fitted the one on the G string, ah Fender build quality don't you just love it? The string lye on the E would annoy me too and I can't see putting the proper tuner on would sort that either? Quote
TheGreek Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I'd go for it if only it didn't need tuning... Quote
Sweeneythebass Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 lol yes that really put me off Quote
Sweeneythebass Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 stingray pete - yes it looks a bit wrong if I bought it I'd have fiddle with those Quote
rushbo Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Just down the road from me...don't think I'll be bidding, but could help with collection or courier-ing... Quote

Count Bassy Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) It's actually a US built Urge Mk1 - (32" scale). These are great instruments. I bought one about 4 years ago for £600, and considered that a bargain. Someone here should buy this. And it looks like MSHtrading are legitimate (MSH = Mary Stevens Hospice). http://www.mshtrading.co/ Edited October 12, 2016 by Count Bassy Quote
LewisK1975 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Was just about to post this one myself. These were a Stu Hamm signature Bass, very high spec and very nice indeed! Someone will surely get a bargain if it stays anywhere near what it's at now.... Quote

You can see the lever is down so that's allowed the peg to turn. Quote
