ambient Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Would you glue a rock to the front of your bass ? He calls it a 'modification', I'd call it vandalism. Bassassin Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 I'm tempted to say it's because there aren't yet any laws preventing imbeciles from owning musical instruments - but I suspect the damage to the body below the controls offers a clue. I think the lump of brick is covering a bloomin' great hole through into the control cavity. Quote
discreet Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Perhaps it was once owned by The Stones. Quote
madshadows Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Maybe he was in a Stoner band !! LOL John Quote
Marc S Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016
......I suspect the damage to the body below the controls offers a clue. I think the lump of brick is covering a bloomin' great hole through into the control cavity.
Yes, this was my first thought too. It just looks so terrible! I can't think of any other reason for doing this - I mean, it's not exactly a cheap copy bass either. Then again, I'm trying to think "logically" perhaps there is no damage to that area of the bass, and the owner doesn't possess any "logic" Quote
dyerseve Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Maybe it's some kind of counter-neckdive device that he is skillfully employing! Quote
Bassassin Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016
maybe his pet rock as a child?
What a heartless swine, flogging his beloved pet stuck to a bass! Quote
Happy Jack Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 He was interrupted before he could glue a roll alongside it. Quote
