Hi guys,

Thought I'd put up a thread about the new bass I bought! Its the only one I have now and its all I'll need. Built by a man who makes exquisite Precisions with the Leeds tone, I've snapped up his latest bass. It wasn't a custom order, I just bought it as it was too good to refuse.

I know its not sunburst with a maple neck, but trust me this has so much growl and overdrive in it, its the closest bass I've heard to John's Frank. The sustain gives off the sweetest harmonics, the neck is the fastest I've played, and the overall craftsmanship is superb. I'm overjoyed with this bass and can't wait to put it through a valve head!!

I'll have to try and get some demos done, but believe me this is an absolute monster of a P bass. Attached are some pictures (I hope)

thanks mate! Looks even better in the flesh! Any tips for demo recordings? I'm a tech novice, I usually just use my phone but I don't think it'll do it justice

I'm guessing that's a Slab 66? Obviously without the slab body
I'm intrigued to hear it as well as my theory is the maple-capped neck plays a big part in the tone. Interesting to hear the difference a rosewood 'board would make.
I nearly put in an order for a slab myself but it was right at the time Gareth decided to revert to standard one-piece necks.
I'm also yet to hear a really decent demo.

thank you guys yeah I was skeptical too, but this gets close! Perhaps a maple would get even closer! I'll try do the demos, even if its just filmed off my phone. I'm ampless at the minute!
