This Spotify playlist called 'Definitive Dart' from Vulfpeck states:

"Songs featuring Joe Dart. Whether it's his J-Bass with Rotosounds, his MusicMan with Thomastiks, or his P-Bass with LaBellas, you can always tell it's(sic) Joe Dart"

I first heard this last night via the No Treble website. Stunning as ever. My first thought was that it reminded me of Teen Town. It was only this morning that I realised 'Dean Town' could be a play on words, something that is probably blindingly obvious to everyone else. I need some vitamins.

Don't worry, I didn't make the association either! I wondered if it might be about the Dean village in Edinburgh...

Here's the dots. Disclaimer, I'm super rusty at transcription as I haven't done it since uni so please excuse my spider sh*t! Also, before anyone goes all theory police on me: Yes I know I could have written repeat bars etc and have probably messed up the rests and articulations, it was 2am, I was on-call with work and I'm a Luddite when it comes to Sibelius so deal with it (in the nicest possible way of course!)

Cheers for doing that! I was literally going to sit down and transcribe it tomorrow on my day off!

I've been working on it for a couple of days now, there are parts of it that are pretty tricky just simply because it's a 16th note groove and every note needs to be bob on. The key to a lot of it is finding a fingering that works for you. I've been playing some of the runs a little differently in terms of fretting position to Joe Dart just because it feels more natural to my hand.

It took me 2 days to get the head right but have it nailed now. I too changed the fingering in a few places. Great tune to learn. Not even nearly as hard as Teen Town or other Jaco things, but very satisfying once you have it down.
I find the single note 16ths at the beginning a lot more challenging though. The middle section where its all 16ths with lots of added fills looks like a right beast.
