Tonerider Pick ups

Anyone got any experience of them?

I have just been talking to the guy I buy picks off in Australia (it's cheaper that way) and he makes them.

I haven't tried the bass ones, but there's a semi-assembled guitar on my living room floor with some of their P90s in. I'll let you know how it sounds once it's done!

I thought they were re-badged Artec pickups, because of the looks and price, but clearly not.

Did he say he actually 'makes them' or does he outsource the manufacture to a factory in China?

Axes R Us is listed as a dealer but seems to have them under ARTEC ..

I've had a set lying around for months waiting to go into my project bass. If you can get Neepheid to hurry up with my body re-rout I'll be able to fit them and tell ya. All I can tell you for now is that they certainly look good.

Old guitarist put them in his Mexi-strat, sounded better, but still sounded like a sucky guitarist playing tired blues licks.
