Burns Scorpion mod the body??

Hey all. I have a Burns Scorpion Bass, reissue.

I do like the pups, hardware and the neck but I hate the body.
Would it be super stupid to mod the bodyshape?

Anyone done it before?

Or should i build a new body for it?

While the shape would easily allow you to re-shape it into something more acceptable, they don't pop up very often so it would seem a bit of a shame to do so.
What were you thinking of doing, removing the pincers?

Something like that, yes Don't know yet, just want to see if it would be totally wrong to do so...

I might do a new body for it but it is less work to modify... decisions, decisions...

Ouch! As mentioned, sell it as they're worth a pretty penny for what they are and get yourself something more aesthetically pleasing and to your sound/feel too.

Maybe I should get rid of it and get me another bass... Problem is that I live in Malta so there is shipping... Anyone wanna trade for a bass with slim jazzbassy neck?

One of the pincers were broken a half badly glued back by the previous owner, otherwise it is i perfect shape
