Mr Soul

Does anyone have a transcription or any guidance on the main bass parts for the Buffalo Springfield version of Mr Soul?
My ears are not as sharp as they might be, and the only recordings i can find are quite muddy. Plus learning things purely by ear is not my strongest skill by long chalk! Not expecting all the flowery bits and passing notes, but a bit of guidance would be really appreciated.

Okey doke... the kids are occupied for 10 minutes, so here's an approximation of the bass part.. and it is only that!)

Sorry it's not particularly accurate or thorough, but hopefully it's enough to get you started.

Bruce Palmer was a fairly unorthodox player, so some of his note choices are a bit off-the-wall. For the main riff he plays something like:

D | D | A | G# | C | C# | D

...and yes, before someone points it out, if I learned to read music or at least TAB I could explain it more clearly. It's a fair cop :-)
