Bassmonkey
It's taken a while but finally got my Fender Geddy Lee Jazz back after painting. I bought this a few years ago from a fellow Basschatter. It had a refin in white however, the paint reacted with my guitar stand and went many so I decided to have it repainted. After much deliberation (with some help from this forum) I opted for a dark green. This is how it looks. I am very, very pleased. Just what I need as a pick me up after having loads of gear stolen last week. Waddy a think?
bartelby
Nice colour, works well with the black hardware. Not so sure about the tort plate though...

Pearl plate for my preference [/quote] Hiya - a pal of my local Leeds based Luthier (Ben) called Chris. He stripped the old finish, prepped the body and painted for a princely £170. Took him ages though - 3 months, however, he apparently had loads of issues with the state of the body under the original paint (which was an old refinish anyway) and I was in no hurry. He even put it all back together and set it up for me before returning the painted body. I think that's great value. Andy

sblueplanet
A gold coloured pickguard like an anodised one would look killer.
therealting
What did the old paint reaction look like out of curiosity? I have several nitro instruments and am paranoid about this
Lord Sausage
Think the pickguard is a great contrast to the green
