SOLD! Thumb Handbuilt Replica NT Fretless 5
£500

now Sold.
This is a very nice bass at a nice price
It was lovingly made by a master cabinet maker over 20 years ago for his wife who played in a country band
He made a few basses and guitars around that time.
The build is fantastic it's based on a thumb 4 so has the same pick up placement as a 4 but with the correct width neck of a thumb 5
So the body is slightly smaller than a 5.
A one off hand tooled solid brass bridge.
bubinga wenge and ebony woods ,bartolini pick ups. The wenge strips have some sap wood in them and go from chocolate brown to grey in the headstock.
Only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the machineheads which aren't as good as the schaller versions.
It has no logo on headstock or truss rod cover though you could easily design your own personal versions.
I don't have a case though I could wrap it up safe given time for shipping.
£500

Sorry but that is a ridiculously close copy to the original! Obviously not seen the headstock front or the bridge but if you'd said that it 'was' a Warwick I'd not have argued based on those pics! I don't play 5's or fretless but a bass of that quality for £500 is toooo cheap! :)

Seems ridiculously inexpensive for what looks like a very nice bass - don't do 5ers or fretless otherwise I might be making you an offer.

GLWTS (probably won't need it at this price)

Gorgeous looking bass. As a Warwick owner if you had not said otherwise I would have thought Warwick. String spacing at bridge may help with sale, some of us can not deal with 'narrow' spacing some can.

Not sure if its 17mm string spacing. What's a thumb normally anyone know? I'd say it was very slightly wider than or same as the other early thumb I just sold but that had the one piece bridge.
