jay-syncro Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) Clover Avenger 4 featuring an American Alder body, Canadian hard rock maple neck and fretboard with 24 frets. It has a glorious electronics setup incorporating three custom single coil Delano pickups, the rear two of which can be used as a humbucker, or independently switched to enable 60's or 70's jazz bass flavours, and a Delano three band preamp with an active passive switch. A great feature of this pre is that it'll work without a battery so no worries about your bass cutting out on stage 😎 Bass is located in Margate. *Price drop to £600* Edited December 26, 2016 by jay-syncro
landwomble Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Never heard of one of these before and now I want one! Looks great
jay-syncro Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016
Wow....that's beautiful.
Agreed 😁
jay-syncro Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016
Never heard of one of these before and now I want one! Looks great
They do seem to be quite rare. I forgot to mention that it was built in Germany and is around 8.5lbs.
therealting Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Your collection never ceases to amaze me (:
Johnson Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Oh man, that is a very tempting bass. Never tried one - but now want one!
chuck_stones Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Fantastic basses these; I had the same one a while back and it kicks ass in tone. Very fast neck something akin to an Ibanez and the sort of spec and build quality you'd get on a Sandberg. Great bass at a great price! GLWTS.
BassApprentice Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Ah man, I've wanted one of these for so long....Shame the piggy bank rattles a bit too much for me to make an offer. For others, these cost £1449 new from Bass Direct, pretty good price on offer here! Edited October 24, 2016 by BassApprentice
jay-syncro Posted October 24, 2016 Author Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Thanks for all the comments, chaps. It seems like a popular bass! Edited November 17, 2016 by jay-syncro
jay-syncro Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016
19mm string spacing?
Hi, it's 20mm as standard but the bridge is fully adjustable so you can reduce it if preferred.
jay-syncro Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 Now reduced to £600 for a quick sale. Considering the new price of around £1400, this is surely a bargain?
Jack Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Argh, just perfect but I need my 'ray 5 gone first. :-(
niceguyhomer Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Massive bargain for someone - I used to have the 5 string version of this and it was sublime. Have a sympathetic bump on me.
jay-syncro Posted November 17, 2016 Author Posted November 17, 2016 Thanks chaps, I'm surprised it's still here to be honest. I can't think of anything else that compares in terms of bang-for-buck.
jay-syncro Posted November 19, 2016 Author Posted November 19, 2016
New PM.
Replied.
jay-syncro Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016
What's the neck profile like? More jazzy?
Hi, it's more Jazz than Precision but not exactly like either. It's slightly wider than a jazz but less deep front to back, if that makes sense?
jay-syncro Posted December 3, 2016 Author Posted December 3, 2016
Are you able to post?
It comes with a gig bag so I'd ideally like it to be collected due to the average couriers fists of ham.
