squire5
I've just got a Gotoh 201 to go on my Squier VM Jazz.I expected to be a totally solid unit, but was intrigued to find that the chunky bit at the back, you know where the logo is,is in fact hollowed out. I have a bridge that I took off an old Legend Jazz copy, which is roughly the same same design as the 201 and it is a solid piece of metal.I expected the Gotoh to be the same.Is this normal for the Gotoh,or is something amiss? 7string
If you can, run the bottom of the bridge over a file of some sort. There might be some burrs on the bottom from manufacturing and it takes just a minute or so to get things smooth.
