Prosebass Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) http://youtu.be/3_ekeIPDLCg This girls playing makes me cry. Her technique is flawless. Her innovation is spectacular. She is musical, in so much as no notes are wasted. I honestly think she is the best bassist I have heard since Jaco. I think we are about to witness the next bass phenomenon. And she has some proper bass face.... Edited October 24, 2016 by Prosebass Quote
Kiwi Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016
Her technique is flawless.
Not quite flawless in that second vid, but her playing is in a different league I agree. She must really like playing bass. Quote
Funky Dunky Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I almost can't watch Mohini, she's so good it upsets me. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Reminds me of the bits I skip on the Primus Albums, each to their own though. Quote

Cato Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Jaco's like the first man on the moon, there can never be another. There's no doubt that Mohini is very, very special, but I doubt she can have that kind of impact on the musical world. Edited October 24, 2016 by Cato Quote
Luulox Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016
Reminds me of the bits I skip on the Primus Albums, each to their own though.
I laughed at this post but thought i better have a listen before i comment. After i googled her, the clip I saw was exactly as stingraypete said! Also noticed a comment under the clip that bass solo's were also known as atmosphere killers in some circles but that's an whole other thread. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Ha,there's definitely a bit of Les Claypool in there isn't there? I like primus, for about ten minutes. Quote
