deksawyer Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I have 2 Eich 115XS cabs and while I'm not exactly sure where the crossover point is, the hi freq driver sure is more useful than a tweeter, esp. for fretless. The 1210S looks interesting as well as a 1 cab solution. There are sure to be others as well... D. Quote
IanA Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Marc Vanderkley makes one... I tried one in the shop and it wasn't for me but some folks love it. Quote
Mudpup Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I had a Barefaced Big One and I think that was about 6 ohms if I recall correctly.....dunno if that helps at all (or if you could find one either now) Quote

gillento Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) I asked around with different builders and almost all of them suggest going the 2x12" + xxx route. On the other hand I hears a single C4Light by Phil Jones yesterday. VERY impressive! Edited November 7, 2016 by gillento Quote

[/quote] Bassgear, near Reading, have a used one at the moment, that they claim is in vvgc. Been humming and hawing about it, but am sticking with my PJBs. May be worth a look. Quote
Dan Dare Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 If I can offer another suggestion, I have two PJB C4s and I'd advise trying the full fat, as well as the Lite versions. The Lite's use PJ's Neo drivers, which are a bit less pokey than the Piranhas in the standard C4 (which I have - bought them after comparing the two). Lites lovely for jazz/clean sounds, but a but polite by comparison, I found. Quote
yorick Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Peavey do the PVH1516 cab, a 1x15 with 2x8 drivers. Not sure what the ohmage is though. Quote

Condition is, indeed, very good. Edited November 10, 2016 by walbassist Quote
