According to the Vigier homepage the serial 850 indicates it was finished on the 29th of january in 1990. Amazingly well made, the graphite neck reaches deep into the body up to the pickguards. It features Vigier´s active electronics with parametric mids option, and the two pickups are strong even in passive mode. Schaller bridge, tuners and security locks. The bass is overall in very good condition, no deep scratches on the finish, BUT it has one larger ding on the side of the body under the knobs. It´s unvisible from the front and back, and the former and first owner of this bass covered the spot with some black tape. I left it like this as it didn´t bother me. The weight is amazing, it´s only 3150 grams without battery. The tone is strong and extremely versatile, the sustain holds on forever. The frets are in very good condition, a low action is possible. I had to have this bass when I found it, as it is one of my 80s dream basses from when I was little. But I´m into Precisions mainly, so this one can go to a new home. I´m in Berlin, as always personal pickup is best. When you need shipping I can throw in an old case for protection. maut Posted November 17, 2016 Author Share Posted November 17, 2016 Hi Stuart, please check the ad... I added some pics of the damage. As you can see I peeled off the tape stickers for the first time. After cleaning off the remains of the tape glue it shows that it´s mainly a checking in the clear coat, the black color coat is still there. There´s another small ding next to the electronics cover.
