ambient
It belongs to a friend of mine. He's had it in his loft for years. Anyone have any idea as to the make etc ?

sblueplanet
I would also say Hondo. Looks a decent made instrument. How's it play and sound?
ambient
I would also say Hondo. Looks a decent made instrument. How's it play and sound?
No idea I'm afraid. He sent me an email earlier, asking if I knew what it was, how much it was worth, and maybe if one of my students would be interested in it. He's a lovely old guy, and a great player.
Cato
I had a Hondo strat a few years ago that had pretty much the same headstock shape, though I realise that's not exactly bullet proof evidence.
Happy Jack
Funny things, Hondo. Many were so utterly crap that they became known as Horrid Hondo, but some were lovely instruments. Different factories maybe? Or different countries (first Japan, then Korea I believe).

alyctes
Hondo Alien here, which is a copy of Kramer's The Duke aluminium-necked cricket-bat. Decently made, IMO.

I think this one may have been pimped up a little - this is the first one I have seen with black hardware. If it's up for grabs, I'd take it!!
