gs_triumph
Any thoughts on these wee chappies? https://www.indiegog...-your-ears--4#/ Suitable for band use? AndrewJordan
No experience of these but the guy behind them is well known in PA circles as a snake oil salesman after his forrays into PA manufacture.
AndrewJordan
After reading the blurb I can believe that they make fairly efficient sound isolators but I wouldn't like to guess at the quality of the sound that does get through. I should be careful what I say though. I believe he hit the speakeplans forum with a lawsuit after the members there systematically pulled apart his many claims. chris_b
I don't like bully's. Looks like ACS will stay top of my list.
mcnach
It looks well dodgy...
LZD56
Their in-ear headphones are excellent & these new isolation ear-plugs were subscribed many times over on their Kickstarter campaign. I didn't buy them, but may well pick up a pair. Reviews are first rate from what I've read so far.
gs_triumph
Good product, dodgy bloke by the sound of it. They don't offer any kind of satisfaction guarantee from what I can see, which is unusual for these simple types of "revolutionay" products. doomed
I've got a pair of the aluminium ones, I find them excellent compared to the normal one size fits all Alpine/Er20 etc. I can still hear everything but at a vastly reduced level. Can't say if they compare to custom moulded but for their price I'm very happy. And we play LOUD.

mcnach
I don't doubt it'll work as an ear plug to block noise. But how good are day to hear the band onstage? The graphs don't look that promising with that steep drop at 1KHz. ACS don't need to worry, I think. The blurb sounds just like a teleshopping channel, which does nothing to remove my scepticism... Ba55me15ter
They seem to make a thing about how you can only hear through bone conduction when you have them in - that's roughly what you get when you stick your fingers in your ears. No thanks!

Despite my scepticism, I would be willing to give them a try if others find them aceptable.
gs_triumph
I will do. Don't expect them to be delivered for a few weeks.
winterfire666
4 of our band have them. No issues. They do reduce the sound levels a lot.
gs_triumph
Good to hear... If you'll pardon the pun!
GarethFlatlands
They look cool but they're pricey. I'll wait until they're released and check peoples opinions before I consider them any further. Trusty ER20's are doing the job fine for now. BassBod
Used them yesterday for a very noisy blues bash. I wasn't expecting much - they appear to be a solid piece of metal, with a rubber earpiece...no sign of any filter etc. They worked very well, a lot of volume reduction but enough definition to know what was going on. Fine for two hours or so, but like earbud headphones, I think extended wearing could get a bit uncomfortable. Pretty good so far, but not replacements for the proper moulds.
