Hoping to get back the studio at the start of 2018 to do further work on the songs. Plan to video the recording of the bass, guitars and vocals in turn, thus having a record of the song being built up. Being in the studio is definitely something I enjoy, particularly hearing the song evolve as it is recorded.

Decided to add a different bass line to, On the Road, that we recorded bass and drums for back in November. Will use the newly recorded version as the bassist for a new instrumental track, Collision Course. Means we'll end up with two tracks with the same drum track by the time we have ended recording.

Reminds me of a lot of the stuff I was weaned on growing up in the 80's.

I hope I'm not offending anyone by saying it has a kind of Judas Priest vibe about it. (Definitely meant as a compliment)

Glad you like it, and definitely no offense with the Priest comment, everyone in the band is a fan of them, we used to double as a Priest tribute band a few years ago.

Have finished my latest stop motion Lego video for the band. Used the Sydney Opera House set for this, inspired by Thin Lizzy playing there back in the 1970’s. Figured it was the only way I was going to get Vantage Point to perform in Australia. Though with ‘Lizzy the crowd was on the steps, as opposed to the band in this video.

The song, Just When I Wasn’t Lookin’ is a digital only single that we released a few years ago, and it features a guest vocal from Martin Jakubski who has been part of Steve Rothery’s touring band recently.

Started work on a new tune in the recording studio last week. The drums and bass are done, will be back in the studio in September to put down the guitars and get the vocals recorded. So this video is of a work in progress of the song, as it is all just drum and bass on the soundtrack.

Nah, I reckon she's played drums before.

We are, what you would say as, in-between drummers, at the moment. For that session, Hannah McKay who was previously in the Amorettes, helped us out and played drums on a couple of tracks.
