In case this hasn't already been mentioned ... new Epi Explorer bass in "antique varnish" Korina.

Only price I can see so far is £469 from GAK. Hundred quid less and I've had thought about it.

I've always had a secret hankering for something spikey like this, even though my metal days are long behind me.

This one looks a bit classier than the standard black-on-black-with-black-binding & black skull and crossbones motif efforts you usually see.

If I didn't have my eye on something a bit more practical I'd be sorely tempted.

I love Explorer shape for guitars, but on basses the proportions all look wrong. All the beauty in the guitar version doesn't seem to translate to bass for me.
